
How does the Bright Tomorrows Speakers Bureau work?If your church or faith community has a need for some aspect of mental health education or wants to better support those disabled by mental illness in your congregation, Bright Tomorrows would like the opportunity to come and speak over a lunch hour at your convenience, free of charge. Topics can include anxiety disorders, suicide prevention, depression, grief management, ADHD/ADD, personality disorders, sexual addictions, manic depression/bipolar disease, current support programs, psychotropic medications, schizophrenia, and hope for the mentally ill. To schedule a speaker, please call 587-2400 or email the president of Bright Tomorrows, Jim Grinnell, to propose dates and topics desired. Speakers in the Bright Tomorrows network include: Michael W. Brose Michael has been in the practice of social work in medical and mental health settings in both the public and private sectors, and has worked with children and adolescents, individuals with severe physical illnesses, the elderly, and the severely mentally ill. James W. Grinnell Jim is a pastor at Tulsa Christian Fellowship, a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist, and a charter member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Stuart L. Holderness At Christian Family Institute, Stuart practices in marital relationships, ADHD/ADD, depression, adolescent concerns, childhood issues, substance abuse, sexual addiction, men's issues, parent-child relations, anxiety, adjustment, and crisis. Timothy K. Peterson Tim was in private practice for five years and has been a program director for adult and adolescent psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment programs at three local hospitals. Tim Reside Associate pastor at Evangelistic Temple, Tim has been in active ministry for over thirty years, specializing in children's ministry. Barbara Schneeberg Barbara is a certified lay minister, a trainer for the Journey of Hope Education and Support Group Program, a grief facilitator, a national workshop presenter, a paraprofessional counselor, and a conference planner and organizer. Christy Taylor Christy has counseled in outpatient and inpatient settings offering a variety of counseling services, including chemical dependency, eating disorders, abuse and sexual trauma, persistent mental illness, depression, and anxiety disorders.
